indulge in phuket - part 2

DAY 3
starting off the day with a big big breakfast at the hotel

after putting on our attire for horse riding

i'm getting on top of the horsey..

the blue sky is a nice contrast to the brown horse

couple horseys!

enjoying the facilities in our hotel

predator tay yiming

beach boy jen!

tanning by the beach

Sadly, the beach marked the end of our first 'honeymoon'...the trip was fun, but perhaps was just a tad too fast! well well..to many more to come darling!

indulge in phuket - part 1

went to phuket over the weekend with my boyfriend and came back last night with a nice tan. it was great fun!!! i love the sun, the sea, and the sand.. it rained a little on sat night, but other than that, the weather had been kind to us. lots of sunshine, so much so that it's almost unbearably uncomfortable walking on the streets in the afternoon. we spent most of the time in the water - be it the sea or the lovely hotel pool.

DAY 1

arriving at our hotel, banthai which is located at a stone's throw from patong beach, the most popular and happening beach in phuket. the hotel is nice, quiet, but still within close proximity to the beach and restaurants. i like, and would recommend it to other people who are visiting phuket.

from our balcony, overlooking our hotel's pool

the beach in the evening..how peaceful

jet skiing

soaking wet after jet skiing. boyfriend did a sharp turn and caused both of us to be flung into the sea! butt still hurts from the fall.

simple dinner of green curry and some seafood

at bangla road, where we did some cheap shopping and where all the sleazy pubs/bars were located

many, many, many, many ah guas/she-men along the street

DAY 2
on the yacht to phi phi island.

aftermath of snorkelling. we literally swam with the schools of fishes!
on phi phi island for a short while to look see look see

what's more apt than to drink coconut juice on a beach holiday?

ending off day 2 with a huge seafood dinner that cost us quite a bit, but the ambiance of the place was good so we decided to indulge.

and the boss says:

let’s think of something better. Something to fight through the clutter in the overcrowded marketplace.

Something that will work past the cages we’ve set up in our minds from the onslaught of useless advertising that hit us everyday.

clever msgs

Some clevers advertising techniques that a friend forwarded to me:

A giant mirror was built that allowed passers-by to stop and look at themselves wearing Indivi clothes at a shopping mall in Tokyo , Japan.

In another creative idea by The Fitness Company, 'dumbbells' were placed at various subways in New York City,
which create an illusion that the person holding the safety bar is doing weights.

A creative ad by Mini Cooper placed at the Zurich , Switzerland train station, shows people climbing into or out of the car, when they are actually entering or exiting stairs.

A very cost-effective advertisement in Hong Kong for a yoga school showcases the prowess of a yoga practitioner on the flexible stems of drinking straws.
Enquiries and enrolment went after up this promotional stunt.

An ambient exercise to promote Eatalica burgers. A 'Caution - Wet Floor' board was placed near an Eatalica burger signboard. The copy on the board reads, 'Oogling at the burger may involuntarily cause drooling, which may in turn lead to a wet floor. Issued for your safety by the management of Eatalica Restaurant'. (Eatalica is an American-Italian food joint in Chennai, India.)

celebrations and goodbyes

was at villabali yesterday's evening to celebrate my dearest friend from msu, yy's 23rd bday! i still recall celebrating her 22nd bday at haicenda last year. one year has passed..so many things have changed, but some thing never do...

take for example, still attended this year's party with my top tier friend, zx...who was the reason why we were late for 2 HOURS, but still blamed it on mee!

YO YO YO to my ttf: you're flying off to the states in 2 days' time!! take care over there and dont be such a blur toad! dont be lazy and do a bit of research first before you embark on your US tour! try not to get lost too (though i'm sure you will at some point), cos you know how bad you are with directions. you never seem to know which bus goes where (except those that go to your place) and where you should alight. oh ya keep track of your finances and dont go crazy when you see all the cheap stuff you can buy over there. lastly, have loads of fun manz, and take many many photos. sobs sobs i'll miss you!

me and the birthday girl, yy

me and my dearest, cant wait for wed to come and we can start partying like mad again!
