weather was very fantastic when we were in barce. it was terribly hot in the day, almost like sg, but chilly in the mornings and evenings. barcelona is one of my fav cities! it's a happy happy city..
la sagrada familia
this church has been under construction, has been for the past 180 years and wont be completed in our life time. read some reviews about it on the net that says that seeing it will evoke some emotion for you; whether you love it or hate it. i personally dont like it. it looked like a monster dripping slime and was suddenly frozen in action.
we're inside one of those things over there.
the view downwards
parc guell
this is a park by gaudi. this guy has weird artistic sense manz haha.
the longest seat..like ermm...hahaha ok lar it was quite nice except that it was SO FREAKING HOT that day.
people mountain people sea..there were a LOT of people!
montjuic hill
crucify me!
most people take the cable car up to the peak of the hill, but we found it too pricey (15 euros) to take the cable car, so...we walked up!! following the cable car track..
jump jump up the hill i go...the higher we went, the more spectacular the views were..
finally we reached the top where the castle is...
i cant tell where the sky starts and where the sea ends..
beautiful view of the barce port/harbour
i wanna be a sea gull....free, freedom!!! to glide against the blue blue sky...
FC barcelona stadium
ok for people who know me well enough, you should know i'm not a big soccer fan..actually i'm NOT a soccer fan AT ALL. i still confuse EPL with champions league and stuff like that..so it was under the pleading of my bf that we visited the barce stadium. i have no idea how good/ungood the barce soccer team is, but they seem to have quite a number of trophies and stuff in the stadium, so i guess it cant be that bad.
nonethless despite my ignorance and lack of interest in football, the sheer size of the stadium still managed to impress me. walking through the different sections of the stadium, we 'lived' the experience of being a football player. we walked through the changing rooms, the rooms where press conferences were held, after parties were held where there were mock champagne and food, the places where the coaches and managers sit, the vip box, the commentators' box...like wow! i tried to imagine myself being one of the players about to step onto the view, facing the tens of thousands of fans...........
the commentators' box
a photo in the museum. focus!
the most amazing thing is that, we actually bumped into zhenyuan and his friend at the stadium! what a coincidence to meet familiar faces in...europe!
back at la ramblas

the nightmare before christmas
