making choices

i have a lot on my mind right now. i had a long chat with gerald just now, and he was kind of telling me about the private banking industry, which he is currently in right now. kind of him to suggest another possible career path for me...

a friend of mine once told me, i can do anything i want to do, as long as i set my mind to it. if you do not accomplish what i set out to do, it's possibly because i dont want it enough.

it could be true, or from a more pessimistic point of view, it might be an easier means to coping with failures. i guess it would always be more comforting to tell oneself that 'i failed because i didnt want it enough, not because i am not good enough.'

though more often than not, we underestimate the power of the mind. dont we all..?

i meet loads of people all the time, and i get advice from everywhere..the number of options piles up, but which is the one for me...?

that's probably sigh #1 now.
