priorities gone haywire
i had a pretty nice day actually. that's strange. because my priorities have gone all haywire.
woke up at 8.45am this morning to my dismay, despite setting the alarm at 8am. supposed to meet my jap oral partner earlier to practise, ended up rushing and finally meeting her at about 9.15am, an hour before our turn. the oral exam turned out to be a total disaster. it ended in 10 mins. 10 mins of rubbish spoken. haha. judging from the puzzled expression on my tutor's face, i think i misinterpreted some of the questions she said, and ended up replying something that is of no link. the conversation part was equally disastrous. used the wrong tense, wrong structure, wrong vocab....ahh.........
received a call after that from edwin, to go for some audition for a slimming photo shoot. haha. seriously do i look like i've just slimmed down?? highly unconvincing. oh well..shall see how it goes.
11.30am: met up with ivan for branch after that. it wass gooood. la men + tim sum at noodle hut; cheesecake + brownie + frappuccino + cappuccino at starbucks. YUM YUM. i had a great time as usual. :)
1.30pm: came back to hall, slack around a little, trying to do research on enzymes for the wretched 2104 project again. it's never ending. i thought it was going to be simple, but it took me unexpectedly long to find info on just 3 enzymes. looks can be really deceiving. in fact, i dont think i'm done yet, i am just too fed up to continue.
4.30pm: dominic fetched me and dear from hall to chinatown point where we met alex and had a meeting on how he could help us with project angel. it's good to know people. you never know when you need their help.
i need money. lots and lots of money. sigh.
6.30pm: went back to the shop to get more bottles. when will this end?
9pm: and hence i end my day with a nice simple dinner of mee pok with dearie.
achievements of the day:
1. done with jap oral test
2. met my 'long lost friend' ivan, who is again leaving for london next week
3. done with top up of bottles
4. got thru the first meeting at least with dom
5. 3/4 through research on THREE enzymes
6. revision for exams? NIL.
congratulations tay yiming. you're so going to do well for your exams.
