just stuff

went to nus career fair with kenny on fri afternoon. there were quite a wide variety of companies there i thought. mcdonalds, hsbc, british-american tobacco, dfs, great eastern, some islamic development company, times, and many companies recruiting engineers, which generally didnt interest me. actually there are many companies which recruit graduates possessing a degree in any discipline. they run their own training programs and ultimately whether you excel in that particular field or not is really whether you're capable and whether you have the qualities that the job requires. i mean stuff like sales and marketing..the real world is very different from what you read on text, isnt it?

that should explain why the streetsmart team did just as well, if not better than the college team in the previous apprentice series. whatever you study, by the time you graduate, you probably have forgotten half of it.

oh well but then of course, areas requiring techical knowledge like engineering and biomedical research is entirely another subject altogether. sigh. kenny is right. it's hardest for people like us to find jobs, because we studied/are studying something we dont like, hence when we start finding a job, we dont really havce a focus.

whatever. i shall worry later.

had dinner at big O with davis and then we went tcc at holland v for desserts. thank you for a great time! the desserts at tcc were yummy and visually appealing, but just a bit bit expensive eh.
