-ONE big yawn-

that basically sums up my entire day. accompanied only by 15 sets of notes on cytoskeleton, cell organelles and proteins, how else can i describe my day? after experiencing moments of swimming visions of font 10 black words, and fighting the urge to lie on my ever so inviting BED, i decided to do something productive...such as to..BLOG!

after my date on sat, i met up with the guy from science in charge of project angel IV. i'm going cambodia to build a school for the kids!! so exciting isnt it! that's if nothing goes wrong. the guy said i was in but until now i havent recevied any notification and there are supposedly more applicants than places available. oh well..just see how it goes. if all goes well, the trip is during late may.

dear, i know you dont want me to go because of the curse. please try to understand..it's not just to make a difference in others' lives, it's to make a difference in mine too. i need it.

played mahjong with tim n friends after that. tim's place reminds me of an italian restaurant. haha. anyway my luck is down these days. lost money, again!! sigh, i wonder if my skills are just deteriorating, or am i just unlucky. gonna cut down on playing.

ERC eusoff hall soccer and netball carnival was held last sunday. not a very successful event since there were so few teams to begin with and 2 actually decided NOT to turn up at the very last minute, so in the end we were left with 6 teams, and 2 were from eusoff. who else is there to blame but ourselves. i must admit i put in zero effort. didnt even bother to ask around until a few days before the event. a lot of things could have been improved. oh well, hope those who came down had fun though. give those guys a ball and they'll have fun kicking around. where sports is involved, things can never be all that bad right.

had dinner with dearie after that. at first i thought it was going to be a 2 people affair. esp since he said he was going to cook. just me n him, romantic dinner. romantic dinner turned out be a family dinner. ah never mind, food was still good.

watched casanova last night with the ke kou ke le monkey. whoa initially i thought it was going to be a serious sort of film ya, but it turned out to be a lighthearted, delightful, romantic comedy. i'm just so in love with venice. it is SO pretty, n i think there's just this quality about european cities: they all exude romanticism. i feel so romanticised just watching the film. haha is there such a word. you feel like..oh yes, love is the air that we breathe, love is all the we need, love is what that makes the world goes round! hahah..ok getting a little carried away, but you get the idea.

some quotes:
Casanova: Casanova the philosopher, who devotes his life to the perfection of experience?
Francesca Bruni: No, Casanova the libertine, who devotes his life to seducing women.
Casanova: Well, we're obviously talking about the same person.

Casanova: I've never sought glory as a lover.
Sister Beatrice: What then, senor Casanova, do you seek?
Casanova: A moment that lasts a lifetime.

Francesca Bruni: Give me a man who is man enough to give himself just to the woman who is worth him. If that woman were me I would love him alone and forever.

we had supper at crystal jade after that. or rather HE had supper. i only drank a glass of soya bean. i never knew the crystal jade at holland v is opened for 24 hours.
