beauties and the beasts

last night was quite a blast. attended the female top 50 gorgeous people party held at zouk. i never liked such events. you know why? it says there on the invitation cards that the event was from 8-10pm, but in actual fact, it really started around 9pm. it's expected really, still, it's darn irritating to be kept waiting with throngs of people. when we were finally in, it was SO packed that we couldnt even catch a glimpse of the stage at all. *grumbles* however in the end we did managed to a find a rather strategic position on the 2nd floor opposite the stage, did the appropriate 'whoo-ing' and 'ahh-ing' at the handsome hunks and beauties while boo-ing and happily critising those we deem unworthy to be in the competition.

finally we saw TERENCE! terence the man! his blusher was a tad too thick and lips too red, and selene said he looked like a geisha. HAHA. on top of that he was wearing this orange sweatshirt which made him look damn gay. nonetheless i must admit, if i dont know him, i would find him pretty good looking. IF i didnt know him, that is. HAHA. me and ant were DAMN shocked when he got into top 20, and then even more stunned when he was in the top 10!! HHaha aww not that we had no confidence in you, partner..just that i find it of extreme difficulty to associate this guy who attends lectures with me in the most lok kok dressing, can be standing on stage as one of the most gorgeous people chosen by the female mag.

peeps, how can someone who dresses like he just woke up from bed to attend lect, be in such a competition?? where is justice?? hehehe..

hehe ok so even though you didnt win, partner, i'm still proud of you. :) ant was saying,"wa dont you feel proud that you'll be walking down with a female mag comp contestant in sci next time?". hm. honestly it makes no difference. my lok kok sci pageant partner will always be my lok kok sci pageant partner. *grins*

ok so we had fun. the sci pageant girls, kc, chee keong, ant, william and william's gf. the guys dutifully bought drinks trays after trays to keep terence busy the whole night. i declared that it was going to be an alcohol-free day but none of them believed me!! urps..apparently word of mouth is still the most effective mode of communication. all of them heard about my lovely 'adventure' on wed. ok so i did drink, but in little amounts. whereas poor terence was gone by the end of the evening. hehehe. i was all out to get my revenge! but aiya, when i'm drunk, i run around like a crazy woman and trip. when terence is drunk, he still can exert immense self control. started sprouting a bit of nonsense..and racking up all the sad affairs..oh wellies..

funny incident no. 1: we were dancing when this woman..wearing a black pretty formal dress, in her late twenties or early thirties? she just pulled me away from the rest of my friends and said,"i have a friend who wants to know you." i was like,"huh??" she didnt give me anytime to react at all. i was stunned!! then she brought me to this tall, urps..a little plump ang moh who shook my hand and said,"hi i thought you were pretty cute so i got my friend to bring you here." eh..i didnt know what to say so i just.."eh..hi! so where are you from?". he was from germany and working in singapore. oh man..thankfully ant and lenny came to rescue me minutes later. *phew* *freaky*
